In this poignant and thought-provoking poem, M. Kamarudheen explores the often overlooked sensitivity of the human body even in the final moments of life and beyond. The poet challenges the notion that the body becomes merely an object after the soul departs, asserting instead that the body retains a form of feeling, a final echo of its lived existence. Kamarudheen's work is a profound reflection on mortality, embodiment, and the unseen life within flesh. It evokes empathy, urging us to reconsider our relationship with the body—not just as a vessel of life, but as a being capable of its own quiet language of pain and resistance.
